Clinical seeicacy of Csftazidime in patients with bacterial infection

Abstract
|
|
|
The antimicrobial efficacy of ceftazidime was observed in 10 patients with various bacterial infections in Chungnam National University Hospital from Aug. to Dec., 1988.
The results were as´ follows:
1) The ceftazidime was highly effective in 9(90%) of 10 patients with various bacterial infections,clinically or bacteriologically.
2) There were no significant adverse effects such as nephrofoxicity or hepatotoxicity.
As above results, it was-concluded that ceftazidime was very effective antibiotics in the treatment of bacterial infections and for empirical therapy of septicemia in granulocytopenic cancer patients.
